Junior C – The Cs quest for Crawley Cup glory ended in defeat when they were defeated 0-10 to 0-08 by Aughnamullen in the final at Cremartin last Wednesday evening. The first half was a very tight affair with never more than a point between the teams and scores were level at the interval, 0-4 apiece. Blayneys scores came from Gerry Brady (0-2), Paddy Conlon (0-1f) and Brendan McElroy (0-1f) but Blayney would rue the two missed goal opportunities they had during the half. Aughnamullen started strongly in the second half and three points in the first five minutes moved them clear before Brendan McElroy registered Blayneys first point of the second half. Aughnamullen continued to dominate and added three more points more.....

Seniors - The seniors gained another two league points when they defeated Clontibret by 3-06 to 0-11 on Saturday evening. The teams traded points early on with Blayneys scores coming from Keith Hill and Patrick Tavey. Clontibret then had their best period of the game and fired over five points to a single Blayney score from Keith Hill but with halftime approaching Gary Ward broke upfield and finished to the net to reduce the deficit to one point. Clontibret tagged on another point in stoppage time to leave them two to the good at halftime. more.....

Seniors -
The seniors survived a late scare when defeating Carrickmacross 1-10 to 2-06 on Wednesday night last. Blayney were rocked by a Carrick goal straight from the throw in but excellent scores from the Hughes brothers Damian and Jason calmed any nerves and further scores from Keith Hill and Patrick Tavey saw Blayney draw level after 15 minutes. A brace of Carrick points saw them restore their lead before a sweeping Blayney move ended with Patrick Tavey finishing to the net. more.....

Junior C - The Cs recovered from a very slow start to record a convincing victory over Emyvale last Tuesday night. After ten minutes Blayney found themselves 4 points behind but a long sideline ball from Peter Treanor was finished to the net by Brian McGuigan, who showed no signs of rustiness in an impressive display. The first half was a close affair with the sides exchanging points but a late Blayney surge saw them take a two point lead into half time. The second half started well for the home side as they drew Blayney back and took a one point lead. more.....

Seniors –
A solid display saw the seniors secure the points when they defeated Ballybay 1-11 to 1-07 on Friday night last. Blayney opened strongly and 4 scores from dead balls, 3 from Keith Hill and the other from Ciaran Hanratty, had them 4 up within 10 minutes. Ballybay improved as the half wore on and had wiped out the lead completely by half-time with the teams turning at 5 points apiece. Blayney opened the second half strongly and a goal from Ryan Treacy after good work from Ciaran Hanratty was followed quickly by a brace of Marty McElroy points. more.....

Junior B - A fast start from the Bs enabled them to comprehensively beat Donaghmoyne in their Championship encounter last Friday night. Blayney pressed from the throw-in and had 1-5 on the board within 12 minutes, the goal coming spectacularly from the boot of Aidan Ward. As the half wore on Donaghmoyne came more into the game but impressive point taking from Blayney especially two long distance efforts from Gary Ward kept Blayney well ahead. Any thoughts of a Donaghmoyne revival were extinguished early in the second half when Stephen Lynch charged up from defence to rocket not one but two excellent goals. more.....

Seniors –
A strong second half display saw Blayney take the points in an entertaining star match in Latton on Sunday morning last. Blayney played with a strong breeze in the first half and appeared to be making the most of it when they raced into a 0-5 to 0-1 lead with a long range score from midfielder Brian McGuinness being the pick of the scores. But Latton finished the half strongly and reduced the Blayney lead to 2 points by half-time. more.....

Seniors – The Seniors showed great spirit when coming from behind to snatch a draw with Scotstown last Wednesday night. Blayney had the best of the early exchanges and lead by 4 points to one after 10 minutes thanks to points from Hughes (2), Hill and Marty McElroy but as the half wore on Scotstown gained the ascendancy and six of the next seven scores saw them pull ahead before a Patrick Tavey free reduced the arrears to two at half time. more.....

The Seniors flattered to deceive on Friday night when they squandered a useful half time lead when yielding to Monaghan Harps 0-15 to 1-10. Harps started the brighter and had two points on the board before Blayney opened their account with a well taken Niall Duffy point. Seniors – What a difference a week makes! After the doom and gloom of last week the seniors responded with a brace of wins this week. On Wednesday evening they had an easy win over understrength Clontibret. A fairly even first half, in which a Niall Duffy goal was the highlight, saw Blayney enter the dressing rooms 2 points ahead. But from the moment Duffy goaled again on the first minute of the second half it was one way traffic with Blayney scoring at will with impressive performances coming from all of the forwards, final score Faughs 5-13 Clontibret 0-07 more.....
