There was a huge attendance last night at the launch of the St Marys Park Development. The audience heard club Chairman Stephen Dignam detail the project and what it means for the club and for the wider community. Guest speakers Paul Curran (Monaghan County Board Chairman) and Paraic Duffy (Ard Stuirthoir CLG) echoed Stephens sentiments and congratulated the club on the ambitious project.

St Marys Park Development –All roads lead to the Glencarn Hotel tonight (Thursday) for the launch of St Marys Park Development. It is anticipated that a large crowd will attend to hear our ambitious plans for the grounds and what it will mean for the club and the local community. Speakers on the night will include Paraic Duffy, Ard Stiúrthóir of the GAA and Monaghan County board chairman Paul Curran. We would like to extend an invitation to all interested in the Faughs and in Castleblayney to come along.
Ulster League –The Ulster League campaign will begin on Sunday week with a home tie against Dromore (Tyrone), the game will take place in Oram with a 2PM throw-in.
Coaching Seminar –The coaching seminar organised by the juvenile club for last Saturday night had to be cancelled at short notice due to the unavailability of guest speaker Niall Moyna. The event will be re-arranged for the near future and we’re sorry for any inconvenience caused.
Juvenile Management/Coaching –The juvenile committee are now actively seeking people interested in taking a management or coaching role for 2012, for more information please contact Brian Sherry 086 - 2334287, Keith Hanratty 086- 8225982, Ray Mc Ardle 087- 1383603.
The senior team will play in the Ulster league in February and March.

Ulster League – Training is now well underway for all our adult teams in anticipation of the new season. We are taking part in the Ulster League this year for the first times in many years and have been drawn in a group with Killybegs (Donegal), Steelstown (Derry), Dromore (Tyrone), Moortown (Tyrone) and Glenullin (Derry). Fixtures begin with a home game against Dromore on Sunday 5th February, more details on time and venue closer to the date.
Coaching Seminar – The juvenile club have organised a coaching seminar for the clubs coaches at both adult and juvenile level this Saturday evening in the Golf Club at 7PM. The purpose of the seminar is to set out coaching plans for 2012. Guest speaker on the night is Niall Moyna and the seminar is open to any interested parties.
