Castleblayney Faughs hosts “Who wants to be a Thousandaire?”

The countdown is officially on.  On Saturday the 8th June 2013, Castleblayney Faughs brings the hugely popular “Who wants to be a Thousandaire” to the Glencarn Hotel, Castleblayney at 8pm. Last Monday night saw the official launch of this incredibly successful show in Sean’s Bar, Muckno Street.  A great night was had by all and it presented the perfect photo opportunity with the eight main sponsors of the show, Acorn Insurance, Carna Transport Ltd, Ned Kelly’s, Coyle’s Pharmacy, McGuigan Motors, Heineken, Doohamlet Construction Ltd and Mallon Solicitors.

Club Notes 21/05/13

Lotto - The numbers drawn in this weeks’ lotto, 21st May 2013 which took place in Sean’s Bar were 6, 21, 26 and 27. The four lucky dip winners of €50 each were Mac Malone, Cairde, Jim Heaney, Drumillard, Peter McMahon (Snr) Cairde, and Joanne Clarke, Carrickmacross. There was no Jackpot winner. Next weeks’ draw will take place in Tavey’s Bar. Good luck to everyone and many thanks for your continued support.

Lotto – This week’s draw results will follow in next week’s notes. The numbers drawn in last weeks lotto, 7th May 2013 which took place in The Spinning Wheel were 10, 17, 20 and 22. The four lucky dip winners of €50 each were Liam O’Connor, Drumillard, Edmond Duffy, Castleblayney, Lily Cannon, Crossmaglen and Phyllis Murphy, Drumleer Sth. There was no Jackpot winner last week but congratulations to Gertie O’Reilly from Annalitten who won the monthly prise of €200. Next week’s draw will take place in the Horsemans Inn. Club Maith Award

 It was with a great sense of pride that the members of Castleblayney Faughs gathered in St Marys Park last Saturday afternoon to be presented with their Platinum Award for theGAA Club Maith programme. The importance of the  award  was evident by the presence of the National,Provincial and County GAA hierarchy for the ceremony, with Director General Paraic Duffy,Ulster Council President Martin McAviney and County Board Chairman Paul Curran all in attendance as the Castleblayney club received their Platinum plaque.

Lotto – Results to follow in next week’s notes

Seniors - The Seniors were made to sweat by a determined Rockcorry outfit last Wednesday night before a late brace of points from Aaron McNamara and a Marty McElroy goal sealed a 1-11 to 0-10 win. We had a game last night (Wednesday) against Latton and on Sunday are home to Scotstown at 4PM.
