The Bs recorded a useful 2-09 to 2-05 win over Magheracloone last night despite being short a few regulars. Pauric Greene got the first two points of the game and a Padraig McBennett free increased the lead to three. Goals from Gerry Brady and Fergal Duffy put Blayney in a great position but a Magheracloone goal late in the half gave them renewed hope . When they recorded three of the opening four scores in the 2nd half it looked as though a comeback may be on. Blayney however raised their game and five unanswered points over a ten minute period from McBennett (2), Brady, Moore and Finnegan gave Blayney the decisive lead they needed and despite a late scoring flurry from Magheracloone, probably due to some tired limbs on the Blayney side!! Blayney held on to win by four.
