Club Notes 13/04/10
Golf Classic Last Friday saw the second Faughs Golf Classic at Concra Wood Golf and Country Club, we were again blessed with good weather and over 150 golfers took to the beautifully appointed course to compete for a spectacular selection of prizes. The scoring was hot all day with many good scores returned but when the dust had settled and the cards were counted a team of Raymond McHugh, Mickey McHugh, Jason Hughes and Tipperary hurling legend John Leahy were declared worthy winners. We would like to thank our main sponsors McGuigan Motors - SAAB, our other prize sponsors, those who put teams into the event and those who sponsored tee-boxes, Tracey OConnor and Simply Delicious who fed all the hungry golfers so expertly. Thanks also to Concra Wood management and staff for all their help over the course of the event. Finally a big thanks to all our members for the effort they put in to making the classic such a success and we look forward to holding this event again in 2011
