Club Notes 16/03/10
Junior Bs – An understrength Junior B team had a fruitless trip to Scotstown on Sunday last when a late revival from the hosts saw them triumph on a score of Scotstown 2-07 Faughs 2-06. Blayney started the brighter and were 1-2 to 0-0 ahead after fifteen minutes thanks largely to a Ciaran McGinn goal. Scotstown then rallied with 3 points to only a Paddy Conlon point in reply leaving Blayney 3 to the good at half time. A goal early in the second half saw Scotstown level but when Ciaran McGinn goaled again mid-way through the period, followed by another Paddy Conlon point, it looked as if the points were on the way to Blayney, however an opportunist Scotstown goal following the Blayney defences failure to deal with a high ball gave them renewed hope and 2 late points swung the issue Scotstowns way. This weekend sees the Bs travel to Latton on Saturday afternoon for a 4PM throw-in.
