Club Notes 25/01/10

Membership - Membership is now due and will be collected by committee members over the coming weeks; costs for the year are €20 for an adult, €30 for a family membership and €10 for a juvenile.

Seniors - Contrary to reports last week it now seems that senior football will not begin until the end of March with the Junior B’s first into action on March 6, full details next week when the County Board finalise their fixture lists.

Junior Cs – The Junior C team has a new supremo with Malachy Keenan having been coaxed out of retirement to take the reins, big things will now be expected from this team. Malachy is expected to announce his backup team shortly. Junior C football is also scheduled to begin in early March.

Youth Committee - Full Youth Committee meeting on Thursday 28th of Jan at 8.30 pm at the meeting rooms in the field. The meeting will outlining the team management for each of the age groups and will also outline the plans for the year. Full attendance would be greatly appreciated.

Winter Training Programme – The programme will return on Thursday 4th February for U6s, U8s and U10s at Our Ladys gym and Rath na nOg. All parents will be contacted by text with details over the coming week.

Golf Classic – The club has announced plans for their 2nd annual golf classic which will be held this year on Friday 9th of April, again the venue will be the prestigious Concra Wood Golf and Country Club. More details and time sheet information will be available over the coming weeks.

Coaching Forum - The coaching forum on Saturday night last was a great success, a large attendance heard from key speakers Paul O Connor and Paraic McDonald on the importance and role of coaching within the club. Several workshops also took place on the night and very positive feedback was obtained from all those in attendance. Thanks to Paul and Paraic for their contributions.

Club Night – After the forum it was down to Seans Bar for a club social night which was again well attended. Highlight of the night was the showing of some old county final DVD’s, this gave some of those present the opportunity to prove how good they were, or otherwise!!!!!

Lotto – Lotto numbers for the week ending 18th Jan 2010 were 10, 12, 21, and 24. There was no Jackpot winner; three people matched 3 numbers to win €75 each Pauric Sherry, Tullynacrunnet; Kieran Marray, c/o Seans; Paddy Mallon, Upper Bree.Next week’s jackpot is €11,000
